Ever heard that old saying? I remember hearing that phrase since I was a little girl. I guess it was meant not to throw anything out, because if you could no longer use it, there must be someone who could. The problem is, it's sometimes hard to "give our stuff away" because we know how much it really cost in the day. But, now it's worn out, out grown, old, no room, just time for it to have a new life! So, out it goes! Sometimes to Good Will, Salvation Army, a number of different Thrift Shops, or how about the Saturday Garage Sales!
Now that's what I'm talking about! My friend and I love getting up Saturday mornings and checking out all the stuff we don't need, but what the heck - we'll find something to do with it. We've actually found some really great items.

A root basket and Nordic pan for 75 cents! Great deals!
All of these frames, including the Antique wooden frame in the back, along with the new Our Family Tree book all for only $5.50!
A beautiful crystal cross, 6" salt & pepper shakers and a really cute little glass angel with a candle holder.
Here's what set my heart to go pitter patter, pitter patter! Are these beautiful shells absolutely gorgeous!? I didn't get a bucket of the large ones thinking I would love the smaller ones better and I now could just kick myself. But, I have to remember, I bought exactly what I should have. The Lord knows what I need before I do!
My friend also picked up a fabulous kitchen cart with a brushed stainless top, brand new - just needed a bit of tightening up for only $30!! It was a bargain, with 4 drawers in the middle and 2 cabinet doors with adjustable shelves (one on either side). So ~ what do you think of our treasures this week?
Blessings to all,
Donna
